soak-aways & other drain systems

we survey, maintain, repair and supply replacement drainage systems. we can use CCTV cameras and drain jetting equipment to resolve soak-away or drain issues and we also maintain, repair or replace pumps, motors and other system parts.

what could be the root cause ?

sometimes, tree and shrub roots can break though the pipework, and so cause blockages. when this happens, the soak-away needs to be exposed using a mini digger, sometimes across your gardens and the damaged pipes need replacing and the roots cropped away, before the gravel bed and soil or other covering is dug back to conceal the pipes. this is usually time consuming and again can be costly so it is perhaps better to know about your soak-away system layout and not to plant invasive plants nearby.

quite often, as a result of not emptying the septic tank often enough or due to a pump or motor not functioning, solids begin to PACK the soak-away or drainage system and so smelly overflows begin to occur. If left for extreme lengths of time, then high pressure jetting alone may not resolve the issues and a solution can then be costly.
